The Expeditions Trilogy
Don’t lie, these were three of your favorite movies in childhood. Unfortunately none of them had great financial success at the box office, which left them as stand alone films. Apparently had El Dorado done well there were going to be more Miguel and Tulio films featuring them visiting other marvels of civilization conducting various con jobs. Atlantis was going to have an animated TV series and Disney World attractions that got scuttled after the movie performed poorly. Treasure Planet apparently almost got a sequel too but that’s all we know about that. Thematically, all they have in common are expeditions to hidden places for legendary secrets, but dammit if they don’t fit together perfectly. One thing is for certain though, no one should have to watch Atlantis: Milo’s Return.
The Road to El Dorado (2000)
Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)
Treasure Planet (2002)

Saving dauphins is expected, but this guy saves a shark!!!
Thank you sir, for showing us there’s still some hope for humanity!
more amazing people«
I had a look at the original video and news articles about this. Apparently the man was fishing and accidentally hooked the great white shark, but cut it loose; then he realized the poor thing was beached. What you don’t see here is what’s possibly the most awesome part: he realized the shark still had his hook in its mouth and went to the effort of removing the hook.
From the mouth of a live, distressed great white shark.
Which he then got back into the water and set free.
His name’s Shane Cox, and he’s a pretty damn awesome Australian for that.
Australian. im not even surprised.

ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS PICTURES TAKEN
The above picture you see is off the elephant’s foot, a radioactive mass. It’s from the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
These are the effects:
After just 30 seconds of exposure, dizziness and fatigue will find you a week later. Two minutes of exposure and your cells will begin to hemorrhage (ruptured blood vessels); four minutes: vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. 300 seconds and you have two days to live.
ANOTHER DEADLY PLACE
SOURCE & MORE INFORMATION
The coolest thing about this photo is definitely the radiation damage. Look at the bright squiggles, and the way the man seems to be in two places at once. This is because even as the photo is being taken, the radiation is causing severe damage to the camera.
According to another source, the man in the photograph and the cameraman are now dead. Apparently, the radiation would have been too high for them to live more than a few years after this, even if they had just run in, snapped the photo, and ran out again. If they spent more than a few seconds here, it’s possible they could have died even quicker.

i was talking to a guy and he said “if there were no laws you could be raped at any point of the day” and i replied with “yeah and i could retaliate by stabbing the rapist, hey i mean there are no laws” and he said “rape isn’t that bad, stabbing someone is a little over dramatic” wtf.

The Haunted Funeral Monument of Inez Clark
The glass-enclosed funeral monument of Inez Clarke at Chicago’s Graceland Cemetery. 6-year-old Inez Clarke was killed by lightning while on a picnic with her family. Her parents, stunned by the tragic loss, commissioned a life-sized statue of their daughter to be placed over her grave. There are tales of the statue weeping as well as claims of Inez actually moving. It is said, during violent thunderstorms, Inez vanishes from her glass box and roams around the cemetery until the storm is over.
